Wine dinner with CHO wines
Ava Gene’s will celebrate the end of the harvest season with its traditional bacchanal nights on Thursday December 16, from 5.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. This wine dinner series features a seasonal six-course menu paired with Oregon wines for $ 150 per person. This month’s dinner will highlight the wines of CHO Wines, a husband-and-wife team that kicked off their inaugural release of six different Pinot Noirs and sparkling wines, and who will also be speaking at the dinner.

Visit and tasting of the Freeland Spirits distillery
One of the few female owned / operated distilleries in history, Freeland Spirits makes handcrafted gin and whiskey in small batches using Northwest grains and plants. Every Friday until December at 3 p.m., they offer a tour and tasting of their establishment for $ 30. The tour is led by one of their distillers who will explain their process of creating spirits and the history of Freeland. Next, you can sample “The Whole Line Up” flight of four spirits and two canned cocktails in their Northwest Tasting Room.
